Do you love to sing and want to make a difference?
Music Matters International Choir is looking for passionate voices to join our musical family. Our mission is to bring joy and comfort through the power of music to those in need, including patients in hospitals and residents in elderly houses, as well as wider audiences, through Taizé sessions and two bigger concerts.
By joining us, you’ll have the opportunity to brighten lives with heartfelt performances and share your love for music with a supportive, fun, and dedicated group.
No matter your background or experience level, if you have a heart for service and a passion for singing, we welcome you to join us.
What do we do?
The choir focuses on two types of concerts, for which we prepare during our rehearsals: the short Social concerts & the Project concerts. The Social concerts are our way to give back to the community, by singing in hospitals and retirement homes, as well as by organizing Taizé evenings. We do this 6/8 times in a year.
We also prepare Project concerts for a wider audience, where we prepare a more complex repertoire around Christmas time and late spring. These are also open to external “project singers” who wish to participate.
Are there any costs?
Singers pay €35 monthly (or €90/trimester, €165/semester) to cover base expenses like conductor and pianist salaries and rehearsal space. Score costs are separate, either self-printed or bundled.
When do we meet?
Rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 19:30. We’re currently discussing a new location, but this will be easy to reach by either bike or public transportation from Den Haag city center.
What is expected of me?
You don’t need to read music. Our choir includes people with varying musical backgrounds. We expect you to focus and study at home based on Wednesday rehearsals. Study materials will be provided.

In the past year, we organized 20+ events, reaching over 1,000 individuals in need through food drives, clothing donations, and support programs.
