Responsibilities
The Montessori Teaching Assistant will support our veteran Montessori certified teacher in efforts to guide the 5-9 year old children through all domains of development. The position entails fostering creative cross-disciplinary classroom initiatives, as guided by the Lead Teacher, and collaborate with our dynamic teaching team in all facets of learning. The assistant should have an active willingness to learn and adapt to the Montessori teaching philosophy.
Qualifications
Prospective candidate must have a four year college degree. Early childcare experience a plus but not required. They must have a desire to continue their education and be a highly motivated individual who would be open to explore the next step of becoming a Montessori certified lower elementary teacher (6-9 year olds). It is helpful if this candidate has hobbies that may contribute in enriching the lives of children such as music, cooking, sewing, and art. The candidate must be willing and able to attend local field trips during school hours on a regular basis.
