Amentum is seeking a Software Engineer 3 to join our team of passionate individuals in Ft. Meade, Maryland. In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nation’s security and intelligence mission. Your Impact: As a SWE3, you will develop analytics using Java MapReduce and Python in the Linux (Red Hat version 7+) environment. You will work directly with the customer in a highly collaborative, integrated fast-paced environment using leading technologies. Responsibilities: Develop analytics for survey and intelligence value assessments. Provide software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution. Requirements: Experience with Java MapReduce, the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), and technologies such as Hadoop Hive, Pig, etc. Experience with distributed scalable Big Data Store (NoSQL) such as HBase, CloudBase/Accumulo, Big Table, etc. Experience with serialization such as JSON and/or BSON; developing RESTful services; and using source code management tools. Experience developing software solutions using Python. Clearance Required: TS/SCI w Poly Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience. An Associate's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus Computer Science (CS) degree or related field. Minimum Years of Experience: 12 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position. Preferred: Tech/Team leadership. Atlassian Jira & Confluence. SIGINT Analysis. Experience with Gitlab & Maven. Kanban Agile process experience. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
