About the Role

As a Security Operations  Analyst , you will play a key part in managing security operations, handling incidents, and continuously improving our security posture . You'll be the go-to expert for security risk assessment, monitoring, compliance, and performance reporting – ensuring our IT systems and business operations remain secure, compliant, and efficient .

You’ll work closely with IT and CRH Group Security functions, influencing risk management strategy, maintaining key SOx controls, and contributing to external accreditations such as ISO27001 . This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic thinking and a proactive approach to incident management.

What you'll be doing

In this role you'll: 

  • Lead and manage day-to-day security operations and incident  response
  • Provide expert security guidance throughout IT project lifecycles
  • Promote a culture of security awareness across the business
  • Carry out regular risk assessments and security drills
  • Create and maintain security policies, procedures and frameworks
  • Own and report on security performance and metrics to senior stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with audits, regulations, and internal cntrols
  • Monitor security policy adherence across staff and third parties
  • Contribute to tool evaluation, assessments, and control frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO27001)

  • An effective communicator, capable of translating technical detail to non-technical audiences
  • Creative, analytical, and thrives on problem-solving
  • A team player who can  lead by example and  support others

Experience & Qualifications 

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience in a similar role
  • Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CRISC, CISM, CISA etc.)
  • Knowledge of NIST frameworks and ISO27001 standards
  • ITIL certified/trained and GDPR aware

You’ll also have experience in:

  • Security operations and incident  response
  • System audits, compliance, and risk assessment
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
