Service Technician
The Service Technician will possess general mechanical, electrical, and maintenance skills or knowledge. Will be primarily responsible for performing routine maintenance, servicing, and completing corrective action work orders and repairs to hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and load-bearing tools. Will also be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting other departments and new business. Work cooperatively within a skilled workforce to gain team strength and understanding of ever-evolving technology.
This position provides employees an opportunity to expand their technical skills, teamwork, training and leadership. This position is a plant and field-based role reporting directly to the Operations Manager and Lead Technicians. Successful candidates will be challenged with complex technical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving opportunities to showcase their creativity, resourcefulness, critical thinking and effective communication skills. The service technician role is a tiered position ranging from Level 1 to Level 2.

Electrical
Hydraulic
Troubleshooting
Evaluation and reporting
Preventive Maintenance
Packaging
Forklift/overhead crane operation
Bolting torque and tension
Equipment assembly
Overhead lifting
New Service Item Onboarding
Remote Technical Support

Desired Qualifications:
2 years maintenance experience
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Knowledge of problem-solving tools (e.g. Pareto, root cause, Plan/Do/Check/Act, etc.) to identify and effective countermeasures implementation
Mechanical skills: replacement, repair, and/or adjust mechanical parts to include, but not limited to solenoid valves, pneumatics, bearings, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, gaskets, seals, regulators, couplings, etc. as needed
Capable of operating shop equipment: pallet jack, pneumatic tools, electrical tools, cranes, forklifts, etc
Electrical skills: Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues utilizing multimeters and basic understanding of ladder logic, electrical schematics, perform electrical troubleshooting on AC and DC circuits/motors, input/output devices, servos, VFDs, wireless remote systems, and other components
Capable of working under pressure while maintaining logical thought process
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Self-directed decision making based on sound prioritization of business needs
Strong, team orientation, motivation, training and influencing skills
Proven ability to effectively communicate / interact with Operators, supervisors, and equipment technical representatives
Provides feedback for improvements to PMs and Job Plans.
Facilities equipment: Forklift, overhead crane, pneumatic system operation and basic maintenance.
Basic to moderate computer skills
