WHO is Sound Generations?

We are a comprehensive non-profit organization that supports older adults and people with disabilities in King County. Our mission is to partner with older adults to provide accessible, essential, and inclusive services so they can age their way.

We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Specialist to join our Team in Seattle, WA

WHAT will I do?

Manage our online and offline communications with internal and external clients and constituents while increasing brand awareness. Responsibilities include creating promotional materials, tracking, and analyzing marketing campaign performance and ensure our content is consistent across platforms. Research and implement multichannel design improvements to expand our audience. Manage media campaigns that include diverse perspectives and client representation. Plan, develop and oversee final implementation of content creation and designing art illustrations to improve people's understanding of our mission work. Ensure the Sound Generations Brand stays consistent to expand our visibility and awareness in the larger community. 

Pay Range: $35.84 per hour.

  Work Schedule:  Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week.

  Responsibilities:

  • Mange the Seattle Times Fund for The Needy Campaign.
  • Create and design printed newsletter and annual report.
  • Design and curate content for our monthly e-newsletter.
  • Assist with Inspire Positive Aging Award (IPAA) nomination submissions and promotions.
  • Design promotional signage and print collateral required for IPAA and Golden Gala Fundraisers.
  • Manage content revisions/updates to program and department website pages. Manage all website copy and content updates on non-programmatic pages for understanding, spatial layout, and color ADA compliance.
  • Ensure internal program marketing materials are accessible and protocols are adhered to.
  • Plan and conduct client interviews for campaign inclusion. Track, report, and analyze campaign engagement and conversion rate performance.
  • Manage and audit photo library for diversity of images and programming.
  • Assist in development of internet marketing strategies to optimize the online user experience, increase marketing effectiveness, diversify our audience, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and write company collateral and lead generation initiatives as needed. Ensure our brand is clear, consistent, and visible across campaigns and collateral to increase community awareness.
  • Ensure messaging framework is clear and consistent across all media.

  Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing and communications or visual communications OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four (4) years' experience creating copy that is compelling and aligns with brand voice and tone. 
  • Four (4) years' experience translating design concepts into campaigns that drive customer engagement.
