Our client in Sherman, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting/problem-solving skills, a safety-first mindset, and effective cross-functional communication and teamwork, which will align successfully in the organization.
 
Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Sherman, TX
Pay Range: $25.00 - $26.20 / hr
Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Job Type: Temp-to-hire

What’s the Job?

• Provide troubleshooting and repair support to the production areas within the Sherman Campus to include all production machines, assembly test equipment, equipment assigned to the building such as boilers, high volume air compressors, HVAC systems, building plumbing, building electrical and facility repair and maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities.
• Provide Kaizen and Safety department support.
• Perform equipment moves and set up meeting rooms for plant activities.
• Know and follow all safety and quality guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the Supervisor or Manager.

What’s Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing production machines, assembly/test equipment, and facility systems (boilers, high-volume air compressors, HVAC, plumbing, electrical).]
• Ability to perform scheduled preventive maintenance and keep accurate service/maintenance records.
• Strong knowledge of safety and quality guidelines; follows LOTO and actively supports Kaizen/continuous improvement.
• Capability to move/install equipment and set up meeting rooms for plant activities; safe use of tools and material-handling equipment.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills with flexibility to support multiple areas and take on other duties as assigned.
