Job Description

We're looking for a skilled and highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and programming a variety of electrical systems, ensuring they meet all code requirements and project specifications. You'll also play a key role in quality assurance and mentorship, guiding junior engineers in their development.

• Design and program diverse electrical systems, including lighting, power, fire alarm, telecommunications, and security .

• Perform comprehensive calculations for electrical system designs , with a focus on lighting systems and their associated controls.

• Conduct QA/QC reviews of design work to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Review contractor shop drawing submittals for adherence to contract documents as needed.

• Collaborate effectively with owners and architects throughout project lifecycles.

• Conduct thorough code compliance research to inform designs.

• Oversee and provide guidance to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth.

• Proficiency in Revit and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) .

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills , both written and verbal.

• Proven ability to solve complex problems effectively and efficiently.

• Demonstrated self-direction, creativity, and innovation in design solutions.

• Exceptional attention to detail .

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program is desired.

• 3 to 7+ years of electrical engineering experience specializing in the design, maintenance, and/or operation of AC power systems, fire alarm systems, and communications systems .

• PE License or EIT certification is a plus .
