Be our next Electrical Designer/Engineer Your work environment at EXP In this role, you will join the Electrical team within the Science & Technology sector , based in San Francisco, California . What a day at EXP has in store for you Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills are essential. Ability to multi-task across multiple projects is required. Proficient in REVIT and AutoCAD with experience in working drawings. Prepare floor plans showing electrical device layouts, fixtures, circuitry, and equipment. Perform calculations for fault current and overcurrent coordination studies. Implement proper AIC ratings of equipment with limited input from senior staff. Prepare one-line diagrams with limited input from senior staff. Review calculations for electrical loads and panel schedules. Thorough knowledge of NEC and other relevant codes. Apply concepts of voltage drop, conductor sizing, and harmonics. Edit electrical specifications with limited input from senior staff. Layout fire alarm devices on floor plans with limited input from senior staff. Develop equipment room sizes during SD and DD phases. Edit specifications to meet project requirements. Select and schedule equipment with limited oversight. Meet with vendors to determine specifications for applications. Perform field verification and take-offs for renovation projects. Coordinate with other disciplines such as MEPFP, Architectural, Structural, and Process teams. Maintain the engineering documentation for projects. Respond to RFIs and review submittals with limited input from senior staff. Resolve installation issues on-site. Apply risk management procedures to minimize exposures. Manage design processes within the work plan's scope and hours. Understand scope of SD, DD, CD, and LOD documentation levels and deliver accordingly. Work collaboratively with senior engineers, project managers, and clients to meet milestones. Manage revisions and develop sketches. Edit and develop scope of work narratives. Engage with contractors during bid phases to review details. What your experience looks like Minimum four years of experience in designing Life Sciences, R&D, Pharmaceutical, or Critical Facilities systems and projects. Engineering Degree (BS Electrical, BS Architectural Engineering, or equivalent) from an accredited institution. EIT License preferred but not required. Ability to travel locally. Compensation The pay range for this role is $105,000 to $135,000. Actual packages depend on skills, experience, certifications, and location, and may vary by region due to labor costs.
