To strengthen our fast-growing operations in our affiliated office in Boston, we are looking for a new colleague with a proactive mindset and strong analytical skills to join our team as a Business Analyst.

Educational Background
You have, or are close to obtaining, a Graduate degree in Business or Economics.

Relevant Experience
You have 0-3 years of relevant professional experience (including internships) within the PE/M&A sector, preferably in IT.

Analytical skills
Your strong analytical skills and understanding of financial and management accounting set you apart.

Tech affiliated
You have a keen interest in Software/IT companies or a strong desire to learn about them.

Independent and Organized
You can work independently and set priorities in a dynamic work environment.

Bilingual
You have an excellent command in English, both spoken and written.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Process
Participate in the entire investment process as an active member of the investment team.

Deal Engagement
Proactively engage with potential deal flow and portfolio companies.

Data analysis
Analyze company and market information, establish financial models, and provide insights into investment and financing proposals.

Documentation and Reporting
Prepare Investment Proposals, assist with Quarterly Reporting, and organize events.

Support Leadership
Support Senior Investment Managers and Partners in daily activities and assist portfolio companies with strategic developments.

Interviews & Case Study

You will undergo several in-person interviews, either on the same day or spread over a period of time. The interview process can be rigorous, but it’s also meant to give you the opportunity to get to know us better too and see whether there’s a match on both ends. Depending on the role, we will ask you to conduct a specifically designed case study. This way we can assess your skills and you’ll know what to expect when working at Main. We’ll let you know early on about any additional information and materials you’ll need in order for you to be able to prepare well.
