**Process Specialist **

Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a plastics manufacturer on the southside of Indianaplis who is looking to add a Blow Molding Process Specialist to their team. This role is responsible for optimizing and maintaining blow molding processes to ensure consistent quality, efficiency, and uptime in the production of plastic containers. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of blow molding technologies (e.g., extrusion blow molding, injection stretch blow molding), strong troubleshooting skills, a passion for continuous improvement and be someone who leads by example for their peers.
Process Optimization: Develop, monitor, and improve blow molding processes to maximize efficiency and minimize defects, scrap, and downtime.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve processing issues related to machine parameters, materials, molds, and equipment functionality.
Setup & Validation: Oversee machine setups, first-article runs, and process validations for new products or tooling.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process settings.
Quality Assurance: Partner with QA to ensure molded products meet or exceed all quality specifications and regulatory requirements.
Training & Support: Train machine operators and technicians on proper operation, troubleshooting, and best practices.
Preventive Maintenance: Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure blow molding equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
Continuous Improvement: Lead or support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
Education: High School or GED diploma required
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience with blow molding machines in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills:
Deep understanding of blow molding technologies (extrusion, injection, and/or stretch blow molding).
Familiarity with machine brands such as Krones, Sidel, Bekum, Uniloy, or similar
Knowledge of plastic resins (e.g., HDPE, PET, PP) and material behavior during processing.
Proficiency with root cause analysis, SPC, and DOE methodologies.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, ability to train and correct technicians processes, excellent communication, teamwork, and a proactive problem-solver.
